It took Eli Matthewson and Chris Parker 8 years of their friendship for them to both come out to each other, there’s a lot to catch up on. The Male Gayz is their weekly attempt at being better gays and better friends. Getting way too personal but never too serious.

GO TOXIC GO FUXIT
The Male Gays have seeked safety from the Destiny Church members who want them dead and are in Melbourne! We are actually here for the comedy festival, please come see our shows. But while we were in town we thought we would pop off with the best podcast we've ever recorded. This is a star studded podcast, no guests, but lots of celeb sightings!

Never Caught An Uber
Chris reviews P!nk and Eli reviews the worst photo ever taken of him at Round the Bays. And the Fact of The Gay is all about a film that only doctors were allowed to watch. We NEED to talk about Queer Eye and also, for the first time: video content: https://youtu.be/ojKCqtyHgj8

The Male Gayz Live
We said we weren’t dropping the visuals, and that’s still true. But we will go live. We chat about how gay Auckland really is (turns out, quite a bit!) Plus a very special Queen of the Week… Live and in person, it’s Rhys Nicholson.

Missing Without A Trace
This may be the very last record of the Male Gayz before they mysteriously went missing without a trace. JK we will never leave you, but we do kind of fantasies about it sometimes. This week you're also getting a sort of wrap up of the Grammys (we saw some clips) and things get pretty existential in the end. But that's our classic style.

Straight Eye for the Gay Guy
More car troubles for the male gayz this week, but we think we might have just the solution. We talk about the man NO ONE is talking about Justin Timberlake, and we develop a TV show idea so good, it's destined for 8 seasons. Plus we hype the most anticipated pop podcast event of the decade. The Q theatre podcast festival! All ABOARD!

Straight Kings
Is 2024 the year of the Straight King? Who's to say. These two male gayz think us gays have to step it up.
It's the first podcast of 2024 and we are talking resolutions, reviews and the rise of straight kings. There's also a fantastic plug for our live podcast happening at Q Theatre in a few weeks, and honestly a shock ending! You gotta listen to the whole thing.

Review
The last episode they asked for reviews. I don’t know how I discovered this podcast or why I listen to it. But it’s now part of the back round noise of my life, Eli and Chris sporadically appear in my ears. Sometimes you don’t hear from them for weeks, but if you want a parade of funny commentaries on topics you didn’t think you needed to know. This podcast is for you. Queen of the week for me is Tova O'brien. Only for asking Luxon why he is such a hurry at the airport. Top notch investigative journalism, but what I really wanted to know from that 18 second media scrum is; Does Winny smell like ciggies and Old Spice or cheap bad boy cologne? is David a briefs man or silk boxers, I guess the latter. I’ve spent the best past of an hour during my work today to write this. My performance review is due, I guess it’s lunch time now. Mā te wā.
A grin, a snort and a laugh.
Like having a yarn with some friends. Love the tangents, the googling, the haphazardness and the lols.
This is my favourite *weekly* podcast.
.
A lot of gay content. I’m pretty sure at least one of them is actually gay..
5 stars!
