The Russian empire history
This introduction immediately creates interest in what is to follow. It is drawing me to await eagerly to be able to listen to more about a land still in many ways exciting and mysterious.now I have listened to the next part. Well so many points of interest so clearly laid out. The readers voice is such a pleasant and easy voice to listen to. The clear diction and choice of words paints a vivid picture drawing the reader into feeling we are actually in the steppe seeing the river, the rivers the people. Feeling the atmosphere of the seasons and wanting to ride a horse or chariot on that long dazzling journey down the great accesss steppe. From .east to west. I am off to read more….come join me……..in the adventure of discovery I really feel I am on. Five star for sure This podcast kept me alert with interest all the way. The descriptions of the jewellery, the gold and silver vessels, the craftsmanship certainly makes one view the people of the steppes with a different attitude. The details about horses, sheep and cattle were very interesting to me. Could one horse be really the father of all horses…. And so I continue my journey into the history of Russia and it’s eventual Empire in great anticipation of what is to come. So I have now finished this first 6 part podcasts on The History of The Russian Empire. It has been so good with (to me at least) many new and interesting explorations of ideas bedded in good references. I am truly hooked and am anticipating much pleasure lies ahead as the next podcasts become available next week
