A great, emotional listen with an overenthusiastic production team

This is a short review as I don’t want to dwell. I thoroughly enoued hearing Joe’s story from so many points of view. However the production was at times heavy-handed or perhaps overenthusiastic: layered or special vocal effects made some parts nearly impossible to understand (eg Joe hearing voices), at certain points the music was too loud and made it hard to understand what was being said. Ben’s delivery was also sometimes difficult to understand. On the whole worth listening to while bearing in mind these points.

Raw and unexpected

I didn’t know what to expect when I heard about this podcast but it wasn’t this. I am blown away by the rawness and honesty of Joe and his brother Paul . It’s not just a tale about a bank robber. It is so much more. There is dark humour, real humour and painfully recalled memories and feelings by those interviewed and these guys have transcended what would have crushed most of us. Thank you for sharing a very personal journey. If you haven’t listened to this podcast you are missing a rare opportunity to step into the lives of two amazing, insightful individuals.
