If this is read on the show - no need for Joanna to attempt a Kiwi accent. Came for the Game of Thrones analysis but stayed for the off-season tour. I don't have any recipes but just wanted to thank you for the entertaining weekly pop culture discussion. A sign of a podcast working for me is when I am enjoying the conversation even when I have not watched the topic being discussed. FIVE STARS!
Do Dave or Neil greet visitors to their home by opening the door and saying HELLO AND WELCOME?
Long may ASOS continue.

Really long one, I'm sorry. I hope I bring up some interesting discussion.

Hey, look I realllllllllly like the podcast, right, I haven't been listening to it for ages but I dig it, especially the off-season. The thing is, I, like a lot of people have a bone to pick with Joanna. I kind of wish I'd reviewed the podcast and bought this up earlier because now seems like I'm hopping on the bandwagon (you might guess what I'm talking about here). A few months ago, I forget exactly which podcast this was on, but Joanna was talking about comic-con and how she hissed at Max Landis as she walked past him (apologies if I'm painting this in a sinister or unfair light), it was obviously a joke, but it had me wondering, why doesn't Joanna like Max Landis? And then about 5 days ago as of writing this, your VF article on Max Landis' comments on Arrival came out. So first, I have opinions about Vanity Fair, I still read it because y'know one day maybe some editor will make sure they put out quality content, and I don't want to miss that. I won't discuss that any further here because I like you Joanna, your personality and your politics, but honestly, a short article on some words some guy said on twitter, how do you justify calling yourself a writer after that? I feel like that was a bit personal, I'm sorry I should just delete it, but I want you to know that I like you and your work (not that you need my validation) so this criticism is coming from the heart. I didn't think it was a good article, it was barely long enough to be any sort hitpiece, I don't know if that's because of restrictions VF has. I also think it's a reflection of the state of online pop cultural criticism writing, especially in larger established brands that can get away with bad pieces like that because they just want content. I thought it was clickbait-y, and just unfair to Max, I felt like you were projecting this sexist frame onto him and I wonder where that idea of Max comes from? Have you met him and was he a douche? Do you feel like your distaste for him justifies an underwritten hitpiece for Vanity Fair, which has such a large presence and influence on its readers? I like Max Landis and some of his work, as I do with you Joanna, and I've followed his youtube channel and twitter for years and I haven't found any awful reason to disconnect from his work. I try to be hip and woke, like the kids (maybe even by writing this I'm perpetuating inequality between the sexes by focusing my critism on you Joana, perhaps I'm overthinking it but I do want to point out I do try to incorporate social justice ideologies into my approach of life) so if there is something intolerable that Max has done please say what it is so I am aware of it. Of course you can just not like Max Landis, you're entitled to your opinion, and you don't have to give any reasons, but I just would like to know cause I'm a fan of him, and I don't want to be a fan of his stuff if he's a bad guy. I don't subscribe to the separation of art from the artist, and I don't watch any film Bryan Singer has had his hands on, and I won't be watching Birth of a Nation because of what those men have been accused of. You may have talked about this a bunch on twitter already, again I probably missed it, whoops. That was very long, I'm sorry, again love the podcast, and Da7e you're my fave.
