Rat's Wedding (चुहिया की शादी) Daadi Aur Naani Ki Kahaniyan

Once lived a saint in a beautiful ashram on the banks of river Ganga. One fine day while he was bathing in the river when an eagle dropped a rat directly into the hands of the saint. Since he had no child of his own, the saint transformed the rat into a little girl and decided to raise her as his own child along with his wife. They took care of her, educated her, and with years she grew older.
Saint’s wife talked to the saint about their daughter’s marriage and the saint agreed to find an appropriate groom for her. Saint presented a number of great options like Sun, Clouds, Air, Mountain as groom to her but she rejects all of them and finally settles down on rat as her groom.
This story teaches us that however, we may try but we cannot change the underlying personality of someone.
