#7. Sébastien Audoux - CANAL+, Head of Sport Digital Content - CONTENT GEN.: CHALLENGE ACCEPTED‪!‬ SiS Masters

    • Deportes

Content generation has always been quite relevant in the sports industry. However, the context around the world in the last months accelerated the digitalization process. The sports organizations and, in general, all the sports industry stakeholders, including the broadcasting providers, have been in a constant race looking to enhance their creativity and offer an attractive content offer for the consumers.
Sports organizations are producers of entertainment always looking for additional sources of income, and undoubtedly the content generation on all the platforms is essential to achieve it because consumers have plenty of options to reach in the entertainment industry, and making things differently always attracts people.

After 15+ years in (linear) broadcasting as a host, announcer and editor in chief he joined in 2015 the digital division as the head of the Sports content department. In this role he handle all digital content output on social media and on their proprietary platform MyCanal. Since 2015 his team has launched a number of digital originals such as a dedicated football show centered around data and tactics called "3-5-2" as well as multiple web documentaries such as “Haller Anglaise” following the footstep of Sébastien Haller’s first season with West Ham in the Premier League. 5 years ago he created an enhanced viewing experience called “the expert mode” for live sports on our myCANAL app featuring live data, additional feeds, near live highlights clips and more recently a timeline experience adding a layer of interactivity for live sports.
