It's a quick and dirty ep this week because Kristina is on the brink. Girl needs a vacation, she needs some social interaction, she needs some pre pandemic life!

This sends her down a reminiscent rabbit hole remembering all the fun times we used to have. You know she's here for a little self isolation but all this free time has her thinking about the way things used to be. We know she's not alone, we're all feeling it.

We have our first guest for Szn II and we are thrilled to have some company forthis week's episode. One of Kristina's favorite people and Barely Functioning's fan since day one; Carolyn joins us to hang & chit chat.

The girls chat about working from home, their recent moves to small towns, and their never ending love for Louis. As a huge advocate for small & locally owned businesses Carolyn shares a few of her fave shops & services. The girls discuss the importance of supporting those small, local & family owned businesses this year. and if your planning to shop local for Christmas it's important to start that shopping soon. We don't want to be Jerks bringing up the C word, but it's ten weeks away folks, and these small businesses need some lead time!

Remember earlier this year when we were locked down, we couldn’t get out and shop, we all thought we were bound to save some money, and now we laugh and we laugh as we open our daily packages.

This week Kristina shares a tale of a jacket she just couldn’t get her grubby little paws on, and talks all things shopping because she can’t be stopped! She chats shopping trends, and while everything is on the rise it looks like people aren’t buying clothes as much, but who needs pants anyway we’re living in a new pants free world. She also shares that she’s been shopping for something super special, it’s a pretty big announcement you’re not going to want to miss.

Kristina is coming in hot this week from her new dedicated podcast space this week, no thanks to her dad Steve finally getting her set up. Turns out she can be a little “les incompetente”.

All joking aside, this week’s episode is all things real talk, and will probably go down as one of the toughest episodes to record. Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last 10 months we know 2020 has been a legit dumpster fire and Kristina gets honest about the challenges of mental health while dealing with so much negativity and adversity in the world. Despite such a rough go, she tries to find the silver lining in it all. But at the end of the day, it’s okay to not feel okay…. Sometimes we just have to feel it all.

This week is equal parts totally thriving and barely functioning, but that’s what BFP is all about kids. First things first, Kristina discusses the news that maybe could have broke the internet three years ago, The Kardasians are kalling it kuits after 14 years and 20 seasons of Keeping Up. Whether you love them or hate them they had a very successful run and grew their fame and fortune tenfold, so we cast no shade.

Kristina also talks about the much needed fall reset after what was a barely functioning past six months, but we’re gonna go ahead and blame that on Covid (2020 man.). She’s going full tilt on fall, totally thriving around the house but barely functioning when it comes to health and wellness. Plus, she only swears once this week (which may or may not deserve a reward)
