A Podcast Pantomime for the Pandemic

In aid of the Shooting Star Children’s Hospices

With theatres closed and live entertainment limited this Christmas a team of volunteers set about making a very different pantomime.

From all over the country; the cast, made up of professionals and amateurs who would normally be getting dressed up for real, grabbed a microphone and recorded their roles in the show.

Every part of the show was created without the song writers, sound engineers or actors every coming into contact with each other.

Most importantly, it’s a great fun show with a new novel script and some very funny original songs.

Dick Whittington 2020 is a modern day telling of a classic pantomime story. It sees Dick setting off to find his fortune in Covid-stricken London town, only to be accused of a crime he didn’t commit before being convinced to try and clear his name by The Bag Lady of the Bow Bells.

The pantomime is available at all podcast providers, social media and available to download and listeners are encouraged to donate to the charity in exchange.
