Your co-worker lashes out. Your friend stops responding to texts. Your dentist couldn’t be less gentle. Your parent couldn’t be more critical. All of these hurt. But we have to choose: will our response come out of a heart filled with hurt or a heart filled with compassion, grace, a slowness to anger, and most of all, love?
