A teacher has great influence and should be careful how they use their

tongue.  v.1-2

A small item has great power.  v. 3-6

bit, rudder, spark

A tongue under the control of Jesus can't speak praise and cursing at the

same time.    v. 9-12

Luke 6:43-45

A few questions to consider:

*Do I present people on their best day or their worst day?

*Do I covet?

*What lies do I spread?

*What gossip do I enjoy?

*Is their anyone I am bitter toward?

How should we use our tongue?

Two things are necessary to walk a Christ-centered life. Listening to the Word of God AND doing the will of the Father.
