Jesus asked this question to his twelve disciples after many others turned their backs on Him. Jesus's teachings and words can be hard to agree to take for some, but Scripture hurts us in order to heal us. When the path to follow Jesus becomes too narrow, too hard to follow, and hard to accept, it is easier to turn and leave to avoid the difficult call. But we, as believers in Christ, need to remember that Jesus is not just a prophet; he is not just a rabbi; he is a king. Only he has the words of life.
So will we turn away? Will we leave?
