In this recap we look back over the last two weeks and the change of Kingship within Israel from Saul to David. We also see the benefits of the chronological version of the audio Bible in a year as the Psalms intertwine with the story of David. Apologies for the delay in uploading, we've had a lot of sickness in the house these last few weeks. We're into week 16 of the audio Bible in a year, reading through the end of 1 Samuel and into 2 Samuel with the corresponding chapters of Chronicles. The story of David, as we go through these next few weeks, is central to the story of the Israelites and the Old Testament.

We continue the audio Bible in a year into week 15 and the book of 1 Samuel during the reign of King Saul. This reign comes to an end in dramatic fashion and there arises a new King in Israel. It is during this week that we see more use of the chronological version as the Psalms are intertwined with this book.

In this recap at the end of week 14 we look back over the time when 'everyone did as they wanted' (Judges 17:6). This seems to be the theme of these past two weeks but in the midst of it God continues to work. We look at this specifically through the bizarre and horrific story of the Levite and the Concubine. In this outline we look at the book of Judges, one which we will dip in and out of throughout other books. It tells us this collection of independent stories of the leaders/judges within the people of Israel

In this (slightly longer) episode as we look at an outline of the book of Joshua, we have some big questions which come up for the first, but not the last time!
