Every civilization has embraced the concept of the human as ‘temple’. In our time, we have emptied the temple of Spirit so as to make of humanity a merely expendable carcass. For the infant, the womb of the temple is its grave. The carcass of the frail elderly, cast away as refuse. With no respect for the body as the Temple of Eternal Spirit, compassionate humanity is forfeit. —es.
