Special Replay: Episode 19- Murdered in North Carolina: The story of Mary Collins Lost Souls of America

    • Crímenes reales

This week is the three year anniversary of Mary's torture and murder. Her family is still fighting for justice. Please relisten to this special episode, near and dear to our hearts.

This podcast was founded on the need to bring a voice to those who are not able to speak for themselves- Stories of the voiceless is our tagline. That’s never been more true than for the vulnerable population of people with disabilities. According to disabilityjustice.org “While each situation is unique, most violent crimes occur because people with disabilities are viewed as ‘easy targets’ due to an assumption that they are less capable of defending themselves physically. People with developmental disabilities are at particular risk because their cognitive abilities and social skills may be compromised, making them more susceptible to predators.” Tonight we invite you to join one family’s quest for justice and change in the name of their loved one, brutally murdered by people pretending to care for her. This is the case of Mary Santina Collins. Listener discretion is advised.
