Catch Up with Garry McCarthy, founder of The Kabin
Send your thoughts, feelings, opinions and suggestions to 0892096423!
No one would have predicted that a group of kids from Cork and Lisdoonvarna would create this summer's biggest banger, and yet that's exactly what The Spark by The Kabin Crew and Lisdoonvarna Crew is. I was dying to learn more about where the song came from, and that led me to The Kabin, a not-for-profit 'music and creative hub' for kids and young people in a portacabin in Knocknaheeny in Cork City. Garry McCarthy is the project's founder, and he told me how it came to be and all about the brilliant work it's doing for young people, as well as how the kids are coping with their fame.

While the book series has ended, Sarah and Emer couldn't bear to let go of Aisling, and have just launched The Ballygobbard Project. I was delighted to catch up with them this week to find out what we can expect and why they decided to bring us back to Ballygobbard.
