Short Stories and Meanderings W. C. McClure

Here begin the adventures of W, a girl hiding with a collection of children in catacombs under a forest. The world above is haunted by myir, nightmarish creatures attracted to fear. W's task is to map the rooms and corridors of this catacomb system, but she becomes distracted reading the stories carved into the surfaces of their new home. Soon it becomes clear that she has an audience in the shadows. 

This story confronts fear and shadows, and explores storytelling and unlikely friendships.
