I'm a marketer and communicator working in Toronto tech. I've written novels all my life.
In 2012, I gave a Tedx Talk about women, leadership and how superhero stories about women model new ways to live powerful lives. At the time, I thought Daenerys' and Black Widow's stories showed that we were evolving our conception of what was possible for powerful women. Fast forward to 2019 when I watched both characters sacrificed in the same week to serve male interests. There's so much more to do.
That talk had a sleeper effect on my life: in September 2014, I began work on my own fantasy-action superhero saga. Set in Toronto, it draws on my own experiences in tech and living in a cosmopolitan city. With time, it's grown from one book to five. I'm so excited to share it! And should probably do some thinking about my author wardrobe.
