Healing from the Pain of Parental Alienation, Estrangement and Erasure - Episode 1 Family Disappeared

    • Relationships

"I wanted everyone to change. I just wanted them to do the right thing. I thought that if they just did the right thing, I'd be OK. That the pain, the desperation, the confusion... that all that stuff would just go away." ~ Lawrence Joss
Are you disconnected, alienated, estranged, or possibly erased from your children – or even your grandchildren? Are you disconnected from other family members? Are you a child that doesn't have access to your parents?
If so, then Family Disappeared may well be for you. I'm Lawrence Joss, and in today's first episode, I will be sharing some of my stories of family disconnection and alienation: what I did; how I reacted; what I could have done better;  and the tools that I have learned to use to cope with, and heal from, the alienation process.
While family alienation can all be very confusing and feel overwhelming at times, the beautiful thing about this podcast is that you don't have to make the same mistakes that I did. You have an opportunity to interrupt the cycle and heal yourself, as well as the family system.
Please come along for the journey of healing yourself to heal your life.

In This Episode:
Learning that you are your own 'silver bullet' - cultivating the resources inside oneself. How to cultivate an emotional and spiritual relationship with yourself.Understanding 'family of origin' and our dysfunctional trans-generational coping mechanisms.Educating yourself about parental alienation.Lawrence’s story of family estrangement, and what he has learned. The value of meditation - even when you are in a trauma response situation.Lawrence's recommended breathing techniques. What we can expect in future episodes of the show.
