Prior to becoming an SLP, Lyssa was a public radio journalist, editor, and podcast producer.

Janet has also held leadership positions in the Academy of Neurologic Communication Disorders and Sciences, and ASHA Special Interest Group 2, Neurogenic Communication Disorders. She is an ASHA Fellow.
