In this episode, we delve into the transformative work of Safe Place, an initiative in Singapore founded by Jennifer Heng. Safe Place empowers women facing unsupported pregnancies, offering them crucial support to make life-affirming choices. From temporary shelter to counseling and life skills training, Jennifer's organization has impacted the lives of 270 vulnerable pregnant women from 2018 to 2022.

Raised in the Philippines, worked in Singapore, and served in Indonesia, Ruby Mipuri's heart is with children who have similar stories to hers. In this episode, Ruby shares how her family—both adoptive and biological—impacted her life as a professional and volunteer. As the co-founder of the organization Bintan Outreach (Faith, Hope, Love), she shares years' worth of stories about teaching and mentoring children with her church community.

Since this recording, Ruby's adoptive mother, Gloria M. Torrevillas, has passed away. We dedicate this episode to her memory. Ruby has since returned to the Philippines.

In celebration of the National Adoption and Alternative Child Care Week (AACCW), one of our team members and adoptive and licensed foster care mom, Issa Tica, speaks with Reign from the Regional Alternative Child Care Office or RACCO, the localized arm of the National Authority for Child Care (NACC).
