    The Electoral College

    The Electoral College

In this episode, I dive in and analyze the debate surrounding the Electoral College and its place in American elections. There has been a lot of controversy this century and the calls to get rid of it grow louder by the day. We'll take a look at the history of the Electoral College, the way Electors are chosen/who they are, the accuracy (or inaccuracy) of the Electoral College's attempt to reflect the population of the US, and then analyze two arguments, one in favor of keeping it, and one in favor of abolishing it.

I'll give my personal take on it as well, but please do your own research, as this topic is of utmost importance.

It took awhile, but here it is! In this episode, we focus on the demise of the five countries of the Ancient World we researched last time: Sumer, Egypt, Maya, Rome, and China. We then apply what we learn about their mistakes to our present situation in 2020. From this, we can generally find the bare minimum of what a government needs to do in order to sustain a society. Check it out and let me know what you think!

The Purpose of Government: Part 1

In this episode, I examine five ancient governments and quickly cover what their role(s) were, and why those roles were beneficial to their people. In these five governments, I glean out 3 key tasks that each one of the governments did, and focus on why any successful government must do all three of these to succeed.
