Karen Howells started being a student of people early in life, and turned that fascination into a successful business nearly 35 years ago. She began her entrepreneurial adventure with a toddler and 8 month old baby and $185.50 cents in savings from her passion to help leaders, teams and organizations truly flourish. Based in Portland, Oregon, Karen has consulted, coached and trained leaders throughout the US, Canada, Europe, SE Asia and Israel with her team of top notch coaches and facilitators who are part of The Howells Group, Inc. Her clients include Intel, MARS subsidiaries, Campbell's, American Express, Hewlett Packard, as well as multiple government agencies, non-profits and many midsize and start up firms. She's a trusted advisor to an ever expanding list of CEO's, company founders and professionals who count on her to speak the "kind truth" with a radical love and commitment so that they achieve their goals in life and work.
In addition to leading her growing enterprise, earlier in her career she was a professional musician, recording 3 albums and touring outside the US. She's the proud mother of a daughter,also a professional musician, and enjoys serving on the board of two non profit organizations. Karen loves to garden, snow ski and kayak in her tandem with her husband Rob and Doodle named "Glory". She actively lives out her belief that we can live, learn and lead from a place of authenticity and contribution no matter where we find ourselves and in every season of life.
