You are the consciousness from which your thoughts arise. So think of your consciousness as this ocean and your thoughts are the waves. And so we are going to tame the ocean, so we can control the waves.
The pessimist use difficulty in every opportunity and The optimist use opportunity in every difficulty. 
Little things add up. There are a lot of negative things going on but there are just as many fabulous things going on that we are not prime to notice them.
