In the first part of their The Good, The Bad and The Ugly series Ian and Lewis start with The Good with reviews of two of Ian's all time favourite anime films, Isao Takahata's Only Yesterday and Satoshi Kon's Perfect Blue.

1986 and 1987 saw a trio of sci-fi thriller OVAs released that all wore their clear Hollywood influences on their sleeves and had a lot of similarities to each other, so Ian and Lewis round them up for collective reviews of Roots Search, Hell Target and Lily C.A.T.

Two real curios this time as Ian and Lewis take a look at a couple of rather unique war themed films with animal based characters with review's of Osamu Tezuka's 1981 film Bremen 4 - Angels in Hell and the 1985 film Penguin's Memory - A Tale of Happiness made on the back of a series of Suntory beer commercials.

For this special episode of the podcast Ian and Lewis welcome Craig from the companion Retro Mecha Podcast to review something particularly beloved to Ian as the trio take a deep dive into 1980 puppet show X-Bomber and its Western localisation Star Fleet.

A true case of the Ying and the Yang as Ian and Lewis take a look at two very different OVAs from the never licensed pot with reviews of the legendary TO-Y and not so legendary Yagami-kun's Family Affair.

In a tribute to Dan Auty, a school friend of Ian's who helped form his love of anime and who inspired the podcast but who sadly passed away recently, Ian and Lewis review the two Silent Mobius movies based on Kia Asamiya's manga. The first Silent Mobius movie was on the first VHS fansub tape Ian ever saw back in the early 90's which was provided by Dan.
