The band that's also a podcast, and vice versa.

The Hoist the Colors podcast is all about creativity, using punk rock as a way into the conversation.

As musicians, we’re infinitely interested in people who have made a life practicing their art. To that end, we talk to the musicians, songwriters, designers, entrepreneurs and other artists who have made creativity a priority and a practice in their lives. You’ll hear their stories, learn about their unique journeys and creative processes, and unlock the secrets to living your life creatively.

Josh Linden and Jeff Murphy are the creative force behind Hoist the Colors, a Los Angeles-based band that plays a riotous blend of folk-influenced punk. Together, they’ve written and recorded albums, toured across the U.S., and played sold out shows at legendary venues like the Troubadour in Los Angeles. They’ve been obsessed with punk rock for as long they can remember, and started their first band together at age 15. They are proud advocates of the DIY lifestyle.
