    In this episode we sit down with Joi Rodriguez. Joi was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM. She is a small business owner in Rio Rancho, NM, where her and her husband own and operate the Fit Body Bootcamp. Being in the fitness industry, Joi had always had the opportunity to be in shape, have a healthy lifestyle, and stay active. Somewhere along the path though she found herself on the other end of the spectrum. In 2020, she found herself 70lbs overweight,  with no energy and unhappy with the way she looked. She was stressed and hid from pictures with her kids. Joi came to a crossroads and drew a line in the sand to get better in all areas and create a long term lifestyle change, instead of the fad yo-yo dieting that she had done in the past. We discuss this journey in honest detail.

Once she complete college, she was asked to come back and be the strength and conditioning coach with her former field hockey team. After her college career came to a close she began training for many endurance races to include doing at least 1 marathon per year for a period of time. She has a professional background in architecture and today enjoys incorporating healthy choices in everyday life. 

    In this episode we discuss general health, lifestyle choices, creating goals, as well as what it means to be healthy for your body type and lifestyle. There are many phases of health and well being and we encourage you to take a listen as we talk about how seasons change in your health and fitness journey.
