Episode 17: My Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) Journey. Part 1 Somatic Seasons The Podcast
-
- Medycyna alternatywna
Hey there!
This little ep is a tiny window into some of my Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) Journey.
I cover the main things I noticed immediately after starting the SSP - and I mention a huge realization I had one day whilst sitting at the Murray River and feeling so different in my body (in the best way).
What is the SSP?
- The SSP is a short-course you can do at home, listening to curated music, that will help you better manage stress, relax, and be calmer, by training your vagus nerve in a relaxing way.
- The SSP is a total of 5 hours of listening to specially designed music that has been filtered to change how you perceive and hear sound.
- It trains the Inner Ear to pick up on “safer” sounds, such as the human voice.
- All this means is you then have a more foundational level of Safe and Sound feeling within your nervous system and body.
- The SSP is created by Dr Steven Porges, who wrote The Polyvagal Theory - and is heavily based around Polyvagal Theory and Nervous System Balance and Healing.
- If you'd like to be guided and supported by me to complete the SSP - please get in touch and I can help you with it, or any questions you may have.
Here are some links to videos, resources, and of course - all the links on how to book in with me or chat with me regarding the SSP or my Somatic Wellness Coaching services:
