Megan Nakazawa - OwnerWith the recent opening of the Local Space in District 1881 in Downtown Chilliwack, we reached out to Megan and asked her to talk with us about her business, the origins and what else she does.

Located at 5 Corners in Downtown Chilliwack, between Bow & Stern and Fieldhouse, you’ll find the cutest little shop, that at the time of recording we hadn’t visited their Chilliwack location but will soon change! They also have a Langley location we’ve ordered from and visited.

From their website:”What started as a photography studio and marketing office with a bit of retail in early 2017 just a couple blocks down Fraser Highway in the ME Plaza, has grown into quite the destination for everything local. Awarded many recognitions from Best New Business, Best Gift Shop and Megan also has been nominated for a few titles from her work with The Local Space (Entrepreneur of the Year and Business Person of the Year).”

There's obviously a lot of talk and concern over the world pandemic of COVID. It's become even more apparent as the pandemic has begun to hit our community more and more.
We were fortunate enough to sit down and chat with Dr. Alison Henry and Dr. Shari Sajjadi to talk about COVID and the realities and impact it's having on Chilliwack.
These doctors spoke from the heart and from their own experiences and we hope you take the time to sit down and listen to the incredible work they're doing to keep us all safe.

Chilliwack has a new high school coming into the community in 2021 and it’s unlike anything Chilliwack, or the Fraser Valley has seen.

Imagine High will be the latest integrated arts and technology secondary school that will be taking a very different approach to learning. It was a pleasure to sit down and talk with Brooke (the principal of Imagine High) and Janet, to talk about what exactly Imagine High is and what it will be offering for the teenage students of Chilliwack.

With the relaunch of the Around Chilliwack podcast and the newly crafted Cowork Chilliwack Podcast Studio, it only made sense to try out our first ever live recording with a live studio audience.
