What do we need to do to inherit eternal life? This is a question that most Christians have asked many times. In our reading today from Matthew 19:16-30 Jesus's answers this question. Pastor Logan leads us in today's worship service and helps us understand what Jesus tells us what we need to do to inherit eternal life.

Pastor Logan is leading today's service with the reading from Matthew 16:21-28. At this point the disciples still don't know who Jesus is, specifically Peter. To know Jesus it to be in a relationship with him. If you want to know Jesus, you need to be with him, thus follow Jesus. We must become Jesus's disciples.

Pastor Paul is looking today at one of the most unlikely followers of Jesus: Matthew. The reading is taken from Matthew 9:9-13. Matthew was a tax collector…he is a great example of the surprising followers of Jesus. Jesus shared a meal with Matthew; this was surprising to the Pharisees. As Jesus said to the Pharisees: “Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do”. We are all sick, in all different ways. What we need is God’s merci. Merci from God is underserved, but we desperately need it. Some questions to consider this week: Who are the sinners around you? What is the state of your heart?
