01.05.22 Paul McMinimy - Listen to Know and Serve

Today’s reading is from John 4:6-26. During this series, we look at how we can reflect the love of Christ in new and different ways by living differently? In this story of the woman at the well, Jesus tells the woman two things: first, inviting her to come to Him to be restored and secondly, to follow Him. Just like the story of the woman at the well, Jesus calls us to move in a different way. Instead of a self-centered culture we are used to, rather a culture of serving others.

This morning we looked at Jesus' parable of the sower. Paul took us through how our hearts can respond to God's word to us of hope and freedom, and then how we can help others to open and soften their hearts to the same message. We ended by thinking about the importance of prayer for those we meet regularly. Our reading was from Luke 8:1-15.
