I miss it

The Horror Etc podcast seems to be dead, or at least MOSTLY dead, with an odd episode being released now once a year or so, and I miss it. I'm a huge fan of horror movies, but often find myself frustrated with the horror community at large. Other podcasts I've tried either hew too close to a disappointing and obnoxious "hooray boobies" fratboy mentality or get too dry and pedantic. Kingstown Ted and Anthony D.P. Mann struck a perfect balance of insight and humor. I trusted their opinions and felt confident that the podcast would keep me up to date on the latest genre offerings worth watching. They complemented each other well, with Kingstown Ted having a nostalgic soft spot for '80s slasher movies (probably my least favorite horror subgenre) while Tony tended towards the more atmospheric and eerie output of, say, Hammer and Amicus. They covered everything from silent films to '70s trashploitation drive-in flicks and treated everything with the same level of seriousness. I can only hope, for old times' sake, we'll be granted a special Halloween one-off this year.
