Great place to find a band off the beaten path
Dr Bones and Mike1inFive are super knowledgeable musicians and fans of a wide variety of music. Listening to the show, you can hear the depths of their expertise resound, as they spin newest picks from metal to rock and folk to experimental music. They play it all and you can tell that they really care about the music and helping new emerging artists find their ways to the ears of listeners. The show comes in two parts each week, often with an interview often in part one and slightly more eclectic and warped sounds in part two for ‘down the rabbit hole’.
Loads of new music what's no to like
Ecellent radio cast pod show bringing new original music from all over the place. Lots of styles presented by two obvious music fans in a trun punk ethic way; no messing about just get it out there. No manicured playlists, quotas or jumping on band wagons of the perceived next big thing. Dr Bones and Mike Five (I do hope his middle name is Ignatius, or even Ian will do - MI five) are knowledgeable and not afraid to dive in with an opinion on every track. Some how the co-hosts manage to combine presenting from Canada and the UK and those wider combined cultural reference points cover a lot of ground. This is a fantastic way to find new bands and artists. As Dr Bones said himself 'plain, raw and as it is'.
