Abolishing immigration detention César Cuauhtémoc García Hernández Author of Migrating to Prison

For most of America’s history, we simply did not lock people up for migrating here. Yet over the last thirty years, the federal and state governments have increasingly tapped their powers to incarcerate people accused of violating immigration laws. As a result, almost 400,000 people annually now spend some time locked up pending the result of a civil or criminal immigration proceeding.

Mindset 2020, the advice you need to start your new year.

This lesson is centuries old, this philosophy has been popularized and sometimes mistaken for narcissism on social media. The core idea is to stop waiting for someone to choose you on their subjective list, learning to pick yourself. A great inspiration

I’ve had the pleasure to meet Edafe and I must say that the personality that comes across through his work is the same in person. I first learned of Edafe through his book “Bed 26” where he shares his traumatic, yet triumphant story of seeking asylum from the Nigerian government. In the podcast Edafe’s gift for storytelling shines even more bright. Whether he’s speaking on his own story, or interviewing other people of inspiration you will be nothing less than enthralled with this podcast. I recommend everyone to give it a listen!

So inspirational and fascinating

Edafe’s story is one of the most inspirational I have ever heard. He tells his story in this podcast in a very interesting way that makes you want to hear more. I am very interested in hearing more about the process to seeking asylum in the United States. This is a MUST listen podcast.

Edafe is an inspiration!

Edafe produces a really unique podcast that I have been thoroughly enjoying. I hope you will take time to listen to some or all of the podcasts. Definitely subscribe so you won’t miss any of the topics Edafe covers. He has such a unique perspective as an asylum seeker from Nigeria. We all have much to learn from him which will enhance each of our lives, which can have a collective positive impact on the world in which we live today.
