Captivating interview and conversation!

As a young American, the topics were especially relevant and captivating. I also live in Pennsylvania and just being in the area during the mid term elections was electric. It was exciting to see the energy and passion my fellow constituents were emanating for their particular legislative agendas.

I also agree with the statement that in a lot of ways Americans always chase contentment but don’t always know with clarity what that means. It’s interesting especially in the last twenty years young students have been told they have every opportunity to reach the stars (even written on chalk boards in middle school).

The statistics surrounding the mid term elections were certainly eye opening and educational. The 2020 election will definitely be an exciting and crucial time for our country and especially for our young people trying to find their way in an ever growing and changing landscape both politically and economically.

Thank you to all three of you for this look into ex patriot life and a rare view into America from the outside.

Excellent Interview - Solid Global Perspective

Great insight into the similarities and differences of the great nations of America and Denmark.

As an American, I really enjoyed my visit to Denmark and I found the people there to be very warm and helpful. I remember being lost at a train station and a Danish woman just told me to follow her to find my way back to the airport. I made my flight and avoided a lot of stress and delay (even though I got stuck in England due to a volcanic eruption). That was excellent ambassadorship! Love the Danes!

I really found the American “over-confidence” and “bragging” segment fascinating. Rufus really nailed the the pros (innovation, entrepreneurship, ambition, etc.) but also focused on the negatives (division, lack of social community, lack of contentment, etc.) Great life lessons!

His political commentary was well informed but one-sided. Rufus conveniently omitted (or glossed over) the Republican gains in the Senate during the mid-terms. He also focused on 3 states which felt a blue-ripple but neglected to mention big wins by the Republicans in Florida...a must win in 2020.

Overall awesome!! Rufus was excellent and funny. The hosts asked great questions and were engaging for the full hour.
