The Benefits & Blessings of Knowing God (Part 5)

The Benefits & Blessings of Knowing God (Part 5)

In today’s episode, Dr. Siohvaughn Funches finishes this series of “No More Condemnation.” Dr. Funches first recaps the last two episodes and she invites you to go back and hear them if you have not heard them already, as a foundation for today’s message. Beginning with John 3:16–17, Dr. Funches shows that it was God’s unconditional love that sent Jesus to give us everlasting life. The greatest demonstration of God’s love is giving us Jesus. Dr. Funches reminds us that Adam and Eve hid from God but God came and found them. God sent the fish to swallow Jonah and hold him for three days.

For the believer — for the born again Christian, there is no more condemnation for you. Dr. Funches explains in the Word that the Law is obsolete; that condemnation comes by the Law, and we are no longer under the Law so we are no longer under condemnation. God will remember our lawless deeds no more.

As you go through the Bible, Dr. Funches invites you to find scriptures that talk about the righteous, and highlight those or mark them for reference. Please listen in.

The Benefits & Blessings of Knowing God (Part 4)

In today’s episode, Dr. Siohvaughn Funches continues this series and dives deeper into the Word, continuing on the topic of “No More Condemnation.” Dr. Funches first recaps last week’s message that for the New Covenant believer, there is no more condemnation. Dr. Funches reviews John 3:16–17 and ties it to the account of Adam and Eve. Dr. Funches invites the listener to review the message from last week to learn more about the sacrifice Jesus made for the remission of sins.

Dr. Funches shows in the Word of God the Law concerning leprosy and the mercy Jesus showed in cleansing the leper. Dr. Funches compares the leper asking for a blessing in the midst of breaking the Law to our own condition. She also examines through the Word the law concerning adultery and the way Jesus treated the woman caught in adultery. Dr. Funches explains that adultery represents all sin. The Lord Jesus does not condemn the born again child of God.

Please listen as Dr. Funches dives deeper into the blessings of having no more condemnation after getting to know God through His Word.

[14:39] Leviticus 13:1–3, NKJV 1 And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying: 2 “When a man has on the skin of his body a swelling, a scab, or a bright spot, and it becomes on the skin of his body like a leprous sore, then he shall be brought to Aaron the priest or to one of his sons the priests. 3 The priest shall examine the sore on the skin of the body; and if the hair on the sore has turned white, and the sore appears to be deeper than the skin of his body, it is a leprous sore. Then the priest shall examine him, and pronounce him unclean.”

And when they had set her in the midst, 4 they said to Him, “Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act. 5 Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?” 6 This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear. 7 So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” 8 And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. 9 Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. 10 When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where a

The Benefits & Blessings of Knowing God (Part 3)

In today’s episode, Dr. Siohvaughn Funches continues this series and delves into the topic of No More Condemnation. Dr. Funches stresses the importance of seeing this truth in the Word of God and of letting God establish it and settle it in our hearts. We have been made righteous by the blood of Jesus. God does not condemn us and we should not condemn ourselves. Dr. Funches shows in the Word of God that it was God’s idea to send Jesus. God loved us before Jesus went to the cross. God’s love came first. It is unconditional. God is love, no matter what we do or don’t do. God sent Jesus to redeem us from sin, once and for all. God says He will remember lawless deeds no more. As we learned in the previous weeks, as New Covenant believers, we are no longer living under the law and are no longer under the condemnation of the law. Dr. Funches reviews the account of the woman with an issue of blood to illustrate the mercy and grace that Jesus showed to her by healing her when she demonstrated her faith in Him.
Please listen as Dr. Funches examines the blessings of no more condemnation after getting to know God through His Word.

In today’s episode, Dr. Siohvaughn Funches continues this series and delves into trusting God. Dr. Funches ties this into the message of the last episode, on the benefits and blessings of knowing God. Before you can trust God, you have to know God. This episode takes it a bit further to look at the benefits and blessings of trusting God. Dr. Funches compares our lives as believers to the readers of a book that God has authored.

Dr. Funches talks about being broken and the difficulty of growing trust by sharing stories of her own life and how God blessed her. Dr. Funches looks at selected verses and examples of Esther, Noah, and Joseph in the scriptures, who received great blessings through their trust in God.

The Benefits & Blessings of Knowing God (Part 1)

The Benefits & Blessings of Knowing God (Part 1)

In today’s episode, Dr. Siohvaughn Funches begins a new series and delves into the benefits and blessings of knowing God. Dr. Funches picks up where she left off in the last episode, recapping a bit from last week and then diving deeper into these truths. To know God is to know His Word. The benefits and blessings of knowing God are the benefits and blessings of knowing Jesus because Jesus is the Word. Dr. Funches encourages you to listen to the messages from the previous weeks. Dr. Funches says God is using those messages to teach us how to inherit our inheritance.

When God blesses one, He blesses all through that gift. Others also need to see your sign and your miracle. It is God’s will to teach us all these things. Now is the time to receive those benefits and blessings by faith in the Living God who has done it all for you, already. We don’t want to delay our destiny.

God says to be anxious for nothing. Dr. Funches explains Psalm 1:1–3 to apply it to New Covenant believers, contrasting prosperity in God against the greed for money. Dr. Funches covers the connections between knowing God and Jesus, knowing the Word and the truth, and being free. We learn in 1 Samuel 1 that God answers our desires and in John 15:5,7 that those who abide in the Word, Jesus, bear much fruit and they will have the desires they ask of Him.

Awesome Teaching

I love the way Siovaughn flows with the Holy Spirit. It’s apparent that she’s a student of the Word herself: it shows in how The Lord uses her to administer the Word of God with power to mature the Body of Christ to grow in faith. I really enjoy hearing what the Lord is saying to me through her, and I always get a chuckle when I listen…which is a bonus. She is bold and delightful.
