Daniel LaPlante: The Boy in the Walls Who Liked to Kill

Daniel LaPlante: The Boy in the Walls Who Liked to Kill

This is another one of those true crime cases where if it played out on the big screen, you would think the storyline was far too wild to ever be true. Unfortunately what 17-year-old Daniel LaPlante did to pregnant mother of two, Priscilla Gustafson, was very real.
It’s unimaginable that a young man at his age could do something so sickening, but Daniel wasn’t new to causing people terrible pain. He had worked his way up to a triple homicide by stalking a young woman, even going as far as to live in the walls of their home.
I’m not joking when I say that this is one of the most shocking true crime cases I’ve covered.
For obvious reasons, the story of Daniel LaPlante and his crimes comes with a huge trigger warning for sexual assault and the murder of children.

Elnaz Hajtamiri: Abducted From Her Home by Fake Police Officers

Elnaz Hajtamiri: Abducted From Her Home by Fake Police Officers

It has been one year since 37-year-old Elnaz Hajtamiri was taken from a home in Wasaga Beach by three armed masked men who were dressed in police gear. She has not been seen or heard from since January 12, 2022, and the police are now offering a $100,000 reward for any information leading to finding Elnaz.
Her abduction is made even more by the fact that less than a month prior to this incident, two men had attempted to pull Elnaz into their vehicle. She fought like hell and managed to escape with her life - only to have three men abduct her at gunpoint just weeks later. Once you hear the details of this case, you’ll understand why we need to share it as much as possible, wherever we can. Someone knows something. Elnaz’s family just wants her home.

    Rogue Transmissions: Friday the 13th

    Rogue Transmissions: Friday the 13th

Samantha (MJ McAdams from Humble Hauntings and Octoberpod) and Calvin (J.T. from Brew Crime Podcast) are moving into their new, very haunted, home. All the items they find in the house still work without batteries or being plugged in. Throughout this journey, presented by Octoberpod, Calvin and Samantha will discover the terrifying secret of the 13th Hour. The revelations will shock you!

It's Friday the 13th, the day when anything is possible.
You are listening to Rogue Transmissions.

Paige, of Reverie True Crime, comes over the airwaves to explain the origins of Friday the 13th. Why are people all over the world so superstitious, and fearful, and consider this day the unluckiest of all?

Next up, it's Brew Crime Podcast with J.T. and Mike! They're talking about Sam Patch. A daredevil, who dared a little too much one Friday the 13th, decided to perform his biggest stunt involving a bear, Niagara Falls, and Genesee Falls.

Hey! Curious Cat Podcast, hosted by Jennifer, is on now! She's discussing something mysterious and haunting. As of now, 15 feet have washed ashore on the coast of the Salish Sea in British Columbia, Canada and a few in the state of Washington that matched some of the other feet in British Columbia. Thirteen of those feet have been identified. Where are these feet coming from? Who do these feet belong to?

Suddenly, Our True Crime Podcast, with hosts Jen and Cam, breaks through the static. They tell us about Samantha and Calvin, the love birds who are moving into this eerie home. Everything is not as it seems and you won't believe what is uncovered.

Then, Nikki, of Serial Napper, comes on. The classic horror film, Friday the 13th, may seem unreal but Nikki tells us about a terrifying tragedy that occurred in 1960 in Finland. Four teenagers went camping at Lake Bodom and were slain. This case seems like it is straight out of a horror movie, but unfortunately, these are true events that will make you second guess that summer camping trip.

Spine Chillers and Serial Killers, hosted by Emma, Tash, and Becky, switches on. Their first story happened on Friday the 13th in 1972 when Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571 was headed to Santiago, Chile. What happened is known as the Andes flight disaster, or the Miracle of the Andes. Then, we are presented with a disturbing occurrence from Friday the 13th in 2012. Brittany Kilgore was murdered during, what she thought, was an S&M session. Lastly, you won't believe what happened on Friday the 13th at 13:13 to a 13-year-old boy in Lowestoft, England.

Thank you for listening to Rogue Transmissions.

Brought to you by Edward, of Octoberpod AM on all podcast platforms and Octoberpod Home Video on YouTube, and J.T. of the Brew Crime Podcast, Crime Trials, Active Shooter, and more!

Nicole van den Hurk: A Heroic False Confession

Nicole van den Hurk: A Heroic False Confession

We’ve been talking a lot lately about DNA evidence and how genealogy is breaking cold cases wide open these days. Tonight’s case is a great example of how it might be used to rule a specific suspect out.
The story of the murder of Nicole van den Hurk is one that is both tragic and heroic. She was only 15 years old when she was murdered in 1995 in the Netherlands.
Initially, the spotlight was put on her brother and her stepfather, who had been raising her since her mother had taken her own life. After being cleared of the killings, in a shocking twist, her brother would confess to killing Nicole - but not because he was guilty. He wanted DNA testing to be done that could confirm the identity of the true killer so he falsely confessed.
But would it confirm many people’s suspicion or point investigators in a new direction?

The Halifax Valentine’s Day Massacre Plot

The Halifax Valentine’s Day Massacre Plot

Now that Christmas and New Year’s are out of the way, Valentine's Day is next on the list. Sometimes Valentines Day means chocolate, teddy bears and roses - and sometimes it means a plot to massacre hundreds of innocent people at a Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, shopping mall.
Lindsay Souvannarath would cross the border into Canada to meet up with her online boyfriend on Valentine's Day in 2015. Not for a romantic date, but to enact a plan they had been working on for the last few weeks to kill as many people as they could at the mall food court.
I actually lived in Halifax when this whole ordeal happened and it was pretty terrifying to learn about on the news. We’re going to talk about the couple, their plan and how it was ultimately and thankfully foiled.
Plus - there are new updates in this case from this month, January of 2023, so we’ll chat about that too.

Marina Boelter: A Twisted New Year’s Eve Disappearance

Marina Boelter: A Twisted New Year’s Eve Disappearance

It’s officially 2023, a new year is here. Everyone is busy making big plans, changes in their lives and resolutions for the future. It’s typically seen as a chance to start over, a time of hope. But for 18-year-old Marina Boelter, New Year's Eve of 2014 would be the last day she was seen.
After clocking out at her shift at a local grocery store, she headed home to get ready for a new years party. She was last seen getting into the vehicle of an unidentified man who was waiting for her at a gas station across from the store she worked at. While this is an unsolved case and Marina has never been seen again since this day, it is assumed by law enforcement that she is no longer with us.
There is enough reason to assume that someone might want to hurt Marina, as she was involved in a very tumultuous long-term relationship with her child’s father, and an older married man.
We’re going to talk about who Marina is, the key players in her life, the timeline of her disappearance, as well as where this case stands today.

Love

My new favorite podcast to binge. Nikki is easy to listen to and covers a lot of good cases. Very informative and definitely worth listening to.

Love!

Found this podcast randomly, and I’m so thankful! She genuinely cares about the victims she speaks of. She is also straight to the point, no banter!! Highly recommended.

crime addiction ,

Awesome vibe!!

I had been listening crime podcasts for about 3 years now and I preferred the ones with only 1 host, because most of the time with more people they talk over each other and sometimes you can’t understand. So for that I like your podcast …
But the way you talk and explain things and give your opinion or advice it comes always with an awesome vibe and great attitude no matter the theme, and for that I love your podcast!!! And btw I just came across yours and listened few episodes and I felt that I needed to rate it; and I don’t rate all, only the ones I think they deserve it the most with 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 (my favorites), or the ones they really need to go fishing instead of doing a podcast (only 2 of them I did it, and both were in Spanish, so don’t think I go around giving bad reviews 😅)with only 💥.
Congrats on your podcast, I can’t wait to listen the other episodes, don’t quit!! It’s fabulous!!
