黃郁媚

畢業於英國皇家藝術學院女裝針織碩士，作品多使用纖維材料及複合媒材。從材質出發，以針織技法貫穿，作品關注於人與纖維之鏈結。英媒 Knitting Industry Creative曾以“大膽且時髦的雕塑品”形容其創作，擅於將傳統技藝結合不同媒材，運用色彩搭配不同技法重塑編織工藝。作品遊走於纖維藝術及服裝設計間，曾登上British Vogue, Italian Vogue, Textile View, La Vie及關鍵評論網專訪等，並於2017及2019年登上倫敦時裝週發表個人系列。

Artist bio
Yu mei Huang is a Taiwanese-born London-based artist. Graduated from Royal College of Art Womenswear Knitwear Master program, She focuses on textile manipulation and her work is characterized by vibrant colours and three dimensional textures reinventing from traditional knitting techniques.

Describing her work as “Bold and Funky Sculpture ”, she combines innovative making process valuing craftsmanship and allows different materials to construct her practice. Her works push the boundaries between body and space, and redefine the relationship between garment and wearer.
