    A government safety agency issued an urgent safety warning over the Peloton Tread+. Peloton has characterized the warning as misleading and John Foley has said there are no plans for a recall. Peloton Yoga has gone global. The studio was refreshed and there are new Yoga collections & challenges. 3 new yoga coaches were announced as well: Mariana Fernández, Kirra Michel & Nico Sarani. Peloton has officially added a new language: Spanish language classes are now being taught on Peloton. A Mother’s Day discount is available: $150USD/$200CAD off accessories with purchases of an original Peloton bike. Q3 2021 earnings call will take place Thursday, May 6th @ 5:00pm ET. Peloton is mailing random packages to members to get them excited about Homecoming next weekend. Jess Sims had to cut a class short, saying she needed to listen to her body. Cody Rigsby & Matty Maggiacomo led some RuPaul’s Drag Race classes. Cody Rigsby had his first Live DJ ride in more than a year with DJ John Michael. The next Verzuz artist series took place, with this one featuring Timbaland vs Swizz Beatz. Erik Jager led a German language artist series ride with Herbert Gronemeyer. The “One Team Challenge” officially starts this week. Peloton had a small apparel drop of Mother’s Day items in the US/Canada/Germany. Well & Good had an interview featuring Tunde Oyeneyin.     The panels & schedule for Peloton Homecoming 2021 were announced, including panels with musical guests Jewel & Usher. Peloton teased “The Champions Collection” – a collaboration with 9 different pro athletes including Allyson Felix & Usain Bolt. An update and some of the partners for “The Peloton Pledge” was provided this week. Kirsten Ferguson is rumored to be a new Peloton instructor in training. Peloton has officially disabled Apple Watch GymKit support for Bike Bootcamp classes. The Peloton Digital app got an updated version of the Instagram Story sharing feature – for both iOS & Android. Android users got access to the “Scheduling” feature this week as well. A support page mentions a Peloton Sky Q app, so that might be launching soon. Dish Network / Sling TV have sued Peloton, Mirror, and NordicTrack over streaming video patents. The Yoga studio is reopening next week, and the first class is a 2 for 1 with Chelsea & Denis. The first race in the “Ride to Greatness” was last weekend, and 2 new team captains were announced for the next race – Hannah Frankson & Ben Alldis. Mashable has an article on Peloton, and interviewed Cody Rigsby & 5 members. Ally Love was on a NPR podcast segment. Ally Love also gave a keynote talk at the Qualtrics conference. The yoga studios are closed until April 18th so they can “work on some new things.” All live classes are cancelled April 4 & 5 to give employees time to “pause and reflect.” The $420 million Precor acquisition has now been officially completed. A new partnership with Verzuz was announced. The first series was Brandy v Monica. A Justin Bieber artist series was announced as well. Hannah Corbin celebrated her 7 year anniversary with Peloton with a special ride. The “Your Monthly Strength Stack” was updated for April with Selena Samuela classes. A Peloton Strength Bracket is taking place on Peloton’s social media. The Peloton x Chase partnership is being expanded with bonus points for hardware purchases. Peloton has won a court case brought by the former designer of the original Peloton Bike. Karen Lawson has been announced as the country lead for Peloton Australia. Custom Mix Levels (More Instructor / More Music) is now available for iOS and the website. Erik & Irene are now recording from a temporary studio in Munich until they can travel again. Robin Arzon & Cody Rigsby have both recently announced partnerships with different massage gun companies – Cody with Theragun and Robin with Hyperice Sam Yo shared an important message on the Peloton Blog – “The Places I Come From” Jess Sims has officially returned with new live classes after an extended break. Denis Morton is raising money for Yards for Yearly through the One Love Foundation. Slate asks whether Peloton can survive gyms reopening. Amanda and Richard share their picks of the week.
