First Person: She’s Gay and a Republican. Is There a Place for Her in the G.O.P.?
This month Kara is revisiting some of her favorite episodes — usually of Sway. But today she has another show to share with you: First Person.
In this episode of the New York Times Opinion podcast, host Lulu Garcia-Navarro speaks with Jerri Ann Henry, a former leader of the Log Cabin Republicans, an outspoken group of gay conservatives. Henry used to thinkher party was moving toward accepting gay rights, but with G.O.P. legislators backing anti-L.G.T.B.Q. laws in several states and the constitutional right to same-sex marriage potentially threatened after the reversal of Roe v. Wade, she now finds herself wondering whether she still has a place in the Republican Party — or any party.

Wish granted! Kara interview
I was just catching up on my podcasts and this thought came up not more than 10 minutes ago:
I wish there was a podcast where I can learn more about Kara Swisher, sort of get a ‘Kara Swisher’ deep dive about Kara and her story. I was going to search for interviews she may have given in the past. I think I may have found her through a Jon Lovett interview with her a year or more ago.
I’ve been following Pivot and this podcast ever since. I have developed a great respect for her in that time (and Scott too!
is there a Scott Galloway Sway interview???
Stacy Abrams
-0 Ok voting….Please tell me why voter identification is considered suppressing voters? It is so racist to say that people of color are less likely to have this. It is such a slap in the face for anyone to say this! You have to have an ID to even get some type of medications.
Matthew McConaughey
Playing the Matthew McConaughey was hard to believe. It was horrible the first time but after relistening I’m at a total loss. You got to have some integrity. A zero interview from a normally great podcast.
