Two social media content moderators struggle at work. He’s her manager. She’s his new trainee. How long can they stay sane when their job is to confront the worst possible content online? How far will they go to win a promotion and escape their daily grind?

Described as “dark and funny” and “a psychological thriller,” MODERATION puts a human face on the effects of social media and our dependence on technology, even as it seems to threaten our humanity.

Adapted from the play by Kevin Kautzman, this podcast is presented by Crying Hill Media with Spooky Action Theater. It features the voice talent of Amanda Forstrom and Robert Bowen Smith.

MODERATION is intended for mature audiences. It’s heavy and not for everyone! Listen now and give it a 5-star view if you like it. Learn more at https://moderationplay.com

Could Not Stop Listening

Moderation is an instant classic. Mr. Kautzman smartly takes the ripe field of social media moderation to develop a scenario that is a poignant reflection on the technocratic era we live in. The dialog is intimate and the characters feel so credible and real.
Once I started, I was on the edge of my seat (leaning in) for more. Mr. Kautzman has a really bright future.

A play that will blow your mind.

I am an MFA actor at the ASDS program at Pace University. I met Kevin Kautzman a few years ago in our lovely neighborhood uptown Manhattan. Mr. K, as i friendly call him, is a master mind. I not only read other plays he wrote, but I had the chance to be part of the first table reading of Moderation. When the reading was done all of the actors felt elevated into a silent moment of revelation. Lots of questions and comments were flying on the table, once the silent was broken. We were amazed, the sense of darkness and reality this play brings, will blow your mind and rethink the times we are
Living in.
