約伯的故事意義非凡。他的經歷給予我們深刻的教訓：坦承自己的不足和短視，全然擁抱神的全能。

單就今年而言，人類生活所受的影響，是好幾年前無法想象的。疫症不僅重創全球經濟，企業因而倒閉，失業率惡化；同時，空前的天災肆虐全球，觸目驚心的山泥傾瀉和洪水氾濫蹂躪各地，中國鄭州、比利時，甚至德國，無一倖免。
.
儘管全球試圖掩蓋真相，但也是徒勞無功的。任何你想到的新聞媒體，都在集體報道壞消息，好像冠狀病毒摧毀人類生活還不夠多一樣。希望在何處？隧道的盡頭可見曙光？人類要從中吸取教訓嗎？
.
約伯的興衰，以及他圓滿的結局，說明了人類與上帝的觀點相比，是多麼不濟和渺小！我們抱怨生活多麼複雜，多麼艱難，世界又多麼混亂，卻沒有意識到神做事的法則，以及祂的計劃，遠超乎我們想象。

我們以自訂的標準和尺碼來質問神，要求祂消災解難，是為了甚麼？神會放棄聖潔，屈服於人類帶著罪性的訴求嗎？不！神不期待我們一生固步自封！相反，我們要改變，務求長成祂的樣式和形象。
.
約伯在遭難時示範了這點，他經歷的禍患，是神安排以考驗其信心的。我們會用言語表達對神的愛慕，可是在受災受難時，會否埋怨而選擇不信？若是如此，我們距離神的模樣還很遠，必須努力改變，突破罪性，效法神百般的忍耐。

同樣，疫情和天災人禍正衝擊著各國，抱怨是枉然的，也不必苦訴世事多麼不公平。在絕望之中，智慧之子會選擇仰望上帝，尋求自我改變。現在並非痛苦呻吟的時候，而是改變的契機，就從約伯的經歷學習，委身效法基督的樣式吧！
