Brilliantly written and presented

The way this story unfolds, connecting so easily with Kory, this podcast should make anyone with a soul understand why some are predisposed to drug and alcohol addiction that continues a ripple effect felt by generations. Everyone needs to hear Kory’s testimony, and understand why abuse, poverty, and abuse are a crisis that we should all take responsibility for. Whether it’s turning a cheek or pointing a finger, this is an US problem.

Thank you, Kory!

I truly do not know where to begin so I want to simply say thank you, Kory, for displaying bravery, transparency, and a personal story that only YOU had to re-live. I cannot imagine losing a parent with a plethora of unanswered questions. You have inspired me and obviously so many as well. I continue to grieve the loss of my father who I lost 2 years ago. It doesn’t feel like 2 years, but more like 2 days, even at times, 2 minutes. I remain fixated in a particular phase of grief and you have taught me that this is ok. You have also emphasized that grief comes in many forms and isn’t always associated with death. I certainly do not allow myself to have an ounce of grace but once again, you have reminded me to do so. I admire your thoughts about our broken behavioral health system, about our judicial system that must have an immediate intervention, and about this Country’s lack of a functionality as a whole.

I sincerely want to express my appreciation to you for helping me to feel that emotions, human nature, and instincts are ok! You have most certainly inspired me in so many ways. I wish you an abundance of blessings, continued healing, and peace that remains constant in your life.
