A Talk With 80 year-old Chip: Getting Out of a Funk!

A Talk With 80 year-old Chip: Getting Out of a Funk!

    Howdy, you beautiful soul!

Today I'm sharing something that's very personal to me.

    It's a conversation I had--in my journal--with my 80-year-old self.

I had this conversation with myself this past weekend, and I wanted to share it with you, too. It's what my older, much wiser, self-actualized version of me would say to me right now,

AND I would suggest that you try this as well.

I also detail my "Mighty 5" Appreciation technique, which has been so powerful for me. It's how I like to start and finish my day, and I can't wait for you to try it. It's the way I set up my day the right way and how I "bookend" my day to end the day the right way, too.

I even share two of my Mighty Five lists with you.

Deep gratitude and appreciation is how we love everything in life more, and I will detail that for you now.

Hey--if you're reading this, can you hit me up at c@chipfranks.com and let me know...

    1) If this was useful for you, and/or

    2) What else you'd like me to talk about in these podcasts.

I'd love to hear from you.

    THANK YOU!

As we talk about a LOT in this, WE are loved and WE are deserving!

Julie Reisler, Soul Sister, Resonance, and Getting Woo Woo...

Julie Reisler, Soul Sister, Resonance, and Getting Woo Woo...

    Hey there you beautiful soul!

You have asked for her--and The ChipChat Podcast (say the word!) has delivered!

We have the magnificent Julie Reisler on the show and talking with me in a VERY DEEP conversation about leading a better life.

Julie is a wife, a mom, and a hugely successful coach, podcast host, and author. She's written two books, including "Getting a Ph.D. in You," and the business edition of that book.

She's been featured on about a bajillion media outlets to include ABC, FOX, The New York Times, Forbes, and she also gave a few TedX talks. She's also amassed a following of tens of thousands on the Insight Timer app, one of my favorites for meditation.

Her You-est You Podcast is listened to by many thousands, and as I learned she's even on the faculty of the prestigious Georgetown University!

In this conversation about leading a better life, we jump off of the deep end very quickly and talk about Intuition and how to use it. We talk about the Law of Resonance, and the practical as well as the "Woo Woo."

It was an amazing talk, and I'm thrilled to introduce you to my SoulSis, Julie Reisler.

You can also find her at JulieReisler.com!

Please remember that you are loved and deserving!

A Conversation about Unlocking Genius With the Great Jon Berghoff

A Conversation about Unlocking Genius With the Great Jon Berghoff

    Howdy, you Beautiful Soul!

Thank you for pressing "play." I don't take that for granted and try to deliver something great for you each and every week.

And this week, oh boy--I have something special for you.

    It's the...

    Intelligent
    Intense
    and Impactful

    Jon Berghoff.

Or maybe I should say, "Professor Berghoff," as I just found out he's a professor and I'm good friends with the man!

He is the founder and leader of XChange, which is a company that facilitates events that get the BEST out of everyone in attendance. His company has worked with a who's who in the fortune 500 world to include Facebook, BMW, CostCo, NASA, TedX, HeartMath, and many more. Jon knows what he's doing, and he makes it seem effortless.

He's also a professor and an extreme athlete along with being a husband and father of three.

Rather than having a static, passive learning experience from a "Sage on the Stage," XChange has a "Guide on the Side." That means that they ask amazing questions, engage everyone in attendance and get the very best collective wisdom out of everyone.

You'll see a lot more of that means in our conversation.

In this, we geek out over learning, my new school, Jon's Hero's Journey, and then the actual methods he uses to unlock genius, which are, btw...genius.

    You're going to love this.

I'd also recommend that you get Jon's methods for doing this, and you can sign up for a free workshop where he shows you what he does. You can get that by visiting www.XChangeApproach.com.

As someone who's been through the training, I can tell you that it's just amazing.

Enough of this! Press play and bathe yourself in Jon's brilliance.

And remember that you are LOVED and DESERVING.

    Chip ❤️👍

Memento Mori 2: The Five Regrets of the Dying.

Memento Mori 2: The Five Regrets of the Dying.

    Howdy, you beautiful soul!

Ooh, check out the picture associated with this podcast. That is an actual gravestone of another man--born two years after me, and dying back in 2001...and the name on the tombstone? Chip Franks. Hardly a common name.  The story of this and how I found it and what it set into motion is in this podcast, along with many other concepts and ideas about Memento Mori and the five regrets of the dying.

In this episode, we delve deep into the whole concept of "Memento Mori," which means "remember to die." When we think and meditate on our own mortality, and we realize that our bodies will stop taking breath, our hearts will cease to beat, and our skin will grow cold...

Then we can USE that to inform our lives now.

From Seneca to Stephen Covey, we delve into many of these ideas--

And I share several ACTIONS and activities that can turn these thoughts and concepts into ways that we can actually improve our lives.

After the Memento Mori deep dive (or medium dive, as I COULD have talked a lot longer), we go into the Five Regrets of the Dying.

I was about to list them here, but then that might ruin the surprise when you press play on this.

One of the exercises I mention in this Magnum Opus about Memento Mori is writing our own Obituary. Yes, that's strange, but you'll "get it" when you listen to this.

The example that got me thinking about this was when my friend Giovanni Marsico did it and he posted it on Facebook. I said I would link that to the show notes...so here it is for you by clicking right here!

Hey, I love that you're reading this, and listening to my podcast. Thank you, sincerely.

The thing I'd like to leave you with as I sign off on this is that YOU ARE WORTH thinking about all of this. YOU ARE DESERVING of doing something to make your life even more extraordinary by doing these exercises--or others of your design.

Please let this be a start to continuing or starting of designing and leading a life true to yourself...so that you shall never find yourself, "leading a life of quiet desperation."

You are loved, and you are deserving.

    Love,

    Chip ❤️👍

Addiction, Being Homeless, and TURNING IT AROUND with Ed Kressy

Addiction, Being Homeless, and TURNING IT AROUND with Ed Kressy

    Howdy, you Beautiful Soul!

This is an absolutely amazing talk I had with a unique and wonderful individual by the name of Ed Kressy.

Ed was introduced to me by my buddy Akhay...he said (I'm paraphrasing), "Chip, you stunningly handsome man (which is weird coming from my buddy, but whatevs)--you have GOT to talk to Ed!"

His story is nearly unbelievable, and you will hear how he went from a good life to scraping the very bottom of human existence in a life of rampant drug addiction and homelessness--

To turning it all around, getting recognized by the FBI for the work he's done with prison inmates, and helping others.

I know you'll get a lot out of this one. We go over ALL kinds of self-improvement techniques, and how we can go from a quite awful experience in life to the thrill of being truly fulfilled.

You can find out much more about Ed at www.AuthorEdKressy.com

Chip Chat Podcast

This new podcast will eventually rival Joe Rogan and Tim Ferriss. Why? It is because Chip expresses his views honestly and is not afraid to show emotion. That is not common.

Yes, they are long podcasts, but that is one of the things makes it so good. He digs deep and is positive and forward thinking. You can learn a lot from Chip.

He also knows how to elicit solid information from his guests and has a unique way of asking a hard question in a friendly manner.

Subscribe! You will be happy you did.
