My friend, I know how much you long to ENJOY Christian family life. You want your marriage and your motherhood to matter - not just in the here and now, but for eternity.
There is nothing more frustrating than pouring our heart and soul into these family relationships only to feel discouraged, distant, or distracted.
The reality is, we live in a busy world. It’s so easy to get stuck in a rut or find ourselves overwhelmed by all the perfect Christian mom things we ”should” do.
If you’re anything like me, you want to soak up every minute of your time with your family, and you want to keep Jesus at the center of it all. Well, that’s what this podcast is all about.
I’m Jess, a Christian marriage counselor and family therapist with my own wonderful husband, four energetic toddlers, and a very busy life. And this podcast is all about building healthy, happy, and holy family relationships.
Each week, we’ll tackle a different aspect of family life, from emotions to communication to family discipleship. You’ll get biblical encouragement along with plenty of PRACTICAL strategies that will help you love your Christian family life.
In my 10+ years as a marriage and family therapist, I’ve helped hundreds of women strengthen their family relationships. I know that Christian family life is hard work. But, my friend, it is also holy work. Your marriage, motherhood, and family relationships are so important! And, let’s not forget, so is your own mental health, emotional wellness, and spiritual growth.

Those decisions are not easy. They typically aren’t fun. But when our deepest goal is to follow Jesus alongside our family and do what is truly best for them, it sometimes means making decisions that put a hold on our personal desires or plans.
Hard stuff. Important stuff. So how do you go about making these difficult decisions? How do you move forward when there might be some disappointment? That’s what we’re talking about today.
Let’s dive in.
hugs & blessings,
Jess

(F3) Why “I’ll Pray For You” Is A Powerful Thing
Episode 112.5 // Friday Faith Followup
How often have you heard people say “I’ll pray for you”? Yes, there are prayer warriors who genuinely go home and put your situation on their prayer list and they take it before the Lord regularly. But is that the norm?
Is that how we really pray for each other? Or is your experience more like mine… that “I’ll pray for you” is just a cliche way to end a conversation, at best followed up with a quick prayer later on when you actually remember what was said.
As we’ve looked at this week, prayer is powerful. Prayer is action. Prayer matters. And so today, let’s challenge each other to be more genuine in how we pray for others. Let’s encourage each other to deepen this area of our lives, for our good and the good of others.
Let’s dive in.
hugs & blessings,
Jess

Episode 111.5 // Friday Faith Followup
You’ve probably set some helpful goals for the new year. A few things that you want to change, or grow in, or experience.
And yet, you know that the Bible tells us that God is ultimately the one in charge. So do your goals really matter? Do your action plans make a difference? How do your schedule, your habits, and your plans line up against the reality of God’s plans and purposes?
Spoiler alert… your plans do matter. But we have to approach them in the right way. Let’s look at Proverbs 16 together for encouragement and help along the journey.
hugs & blessings,
