Exquisite
These stories and contributions/conversations with guests are brilliant. Voices are beyond engaging; one feels in the room. I have a daughter-in-law, from China—but (!) she & her sister, both from different provinces, were adopted by a Mid-Western, privileged, white, catholic, U.S., GOP, family. This podcast has broadened my understanding of the experiences of the intimacies in lives of so many; & only more deeply highlighted how much more in common we as humans have than differences, across this globe. I do hv a undergraduate degree in Intercultural Communications/Study, from the likely most politically & ethnically motivated & grandmother of the movement for such studies. My later degrees are in International Development. Central Asia was one of assigned regions & the Philippines.
I’ve hv endeavored, long before my son, paired w/ his wife, to the best of my abilities, to be knowledgeable—as I cannot ever actually understand—but can always empathize, be an open ear, & work together to fight inequality, especially v the Asian Community. These more personal connections in this series, are more difficult to find/have, and I deeply appreciate each one. Brava!
My favorite podcast
I have now listened to each episode and can say that there is something truly magical about this podcast—the originality, care, and creativity that goes into each episode is obvious and the result is wonderful. This podcast always moves me - in some cases it uplifts, in others it causes me to think more deeply than I have all day, and in all cases it illuminates the profound beauty and meaning in our world, which we often overlook or take for granted or cannot see unless it is pointed out to us. My sole regret is that I did not discover this sooner. I hope more episodes will be created, as I will be the first to listen! This is a true and rare find. (Indeed, as a frequent listener of podcasts, I can say that this one - in terms of its production and richness - is head-and-shoulders above all others with only a very few extremely rare exceptions.)
