Our friends at OpenAI provided the following regarding the Eisenhower Matrix:

"The Eisenhower Method, also known as the Eisenhower Box or Eisenhower Matrix, is a productivity technique attributed to Dwight D. Eisenhower, the 34th President of the United States. This method helps individuals prioritize tasks based on their urgency and importance, thus enhancing productivity and time management. The method categorizes tasks into four quadrants:
Urgent and Important (Do First): Tasks that are both urgent and important should be dealt with immediately. These tasks usually have impending deadlines or significant consequences if not addressed promptly.Important, but Not Urgent (Schedule): Tasks in this quadrant are important for long-term goals but may not require immediate attention. They should be scheduled and planned for completion to avoid becoming urgent in the future.Urgent, but Not Important (Delegate): Tasks in this category are urgent but do not contribute significantly to long-term goals. These tasks can be delegated to others if possible, freeing up time for more important activities. Not Urgent and Not Important (Eliminate): Tasks that fall into this quadrant are neither urgent nor important and can be considered distractions. It's best to eliminate or minimize these tasks to focus on activities that contribute to long-term goals.By sorting tasks into these four categories, individuals can effectively manage their time and focus on activities that align with their goals and priorities. The Eisenhower Method encourages a proactive approach to task management, helping individuals avoid the trap of constantly reacting to urgent but less important tasks."
