Living with Endometriosis
Its National Endometriosis Awareness Month! This week host of Copay with April Body was joined by a very special guest Rachel Grobman. Diagnosing Endometriosis is such a long journey, and it can make you feel like you're living life on pause. While there isn't an easy answer or solution, those dealing with this just to know you’re not alone. There is a community out there trying to advocate for better resources and diagnosis for endometriosis.

Each week host April Body highlights health and wellness topics and this week we’re discussing the joys of aging, - do we hate it or love it? April and her mom open up about their experiences, from dealing with your scary age number, skincare routines, fitness, generational trauma, random pains, menopause, death, and Botox! While there’s nothing normal about this life, the journey is all about self-acceptance, even IF the plan for your life didn’t turn out the way you wanted. Honestly, truly, there’s no expiration date on starting over or going after that dream.

Make Fibroids Funny Again
Of course the pains of fibroids is not funny. However, this week on part two host April Body will try to find the humor while giving a breakdown on how once again these fibroid hussies continued to throw rowdy parties to grow their fan base at club Uterus. She was also faced with the decision to have another surgery. At the end of 2020, while contemplating between a hysterectomy, a myomectomy or uterine fibroid embolization ya girl passed out on the street due to the alarming amount of blood loss. Three blood transfusions later, April was forced to make a decision. Thankfully today, she’s living a healthy life since recovery.

Where Is My Cure
Unfortunately nearly 80% of Black women, and up to 70 % of white women suffer from fibroids yet, there is no cure. On this episode April describes her first few years with the growing tumors that eventually led to having a myomectomy surgery to remove *most* of the fibroids. She also dives into the possibility of having children in the future and how to recognize iron deficiency symptoms that can cause serious complications. Later, the host will be joined by two very special guests (her parents) to share funny stories and other surgery options.
