Missed a major tip!

I didn't watch it all, but did notice one big problem that should have been covered in the very beginning: prepare your fabric. The project covered in this episode was made using denim - a fabric we all know shrinks when washing/drying. The fabric should have been washed & dried at least once to get some of this shrinkage done before cutting the pattern. Without this pretreatment, the garment would have shrunk later and probably been ruined. This pretreatment could have been easily mentioned at the beginning of the episode w/o taking much time. Crucial mistake.

Good information but...

The presenter in this podcast needs to dial down the enthusiam a notch... or twelve. She makes it almost unwatchable. Just because we don't know how to sew doesn't make us 12-year-olds who can't pay attention unless you're hyperactively telling us "omg, it's like a reeeeeeally good idea to look at the directions." Whoa, really? What are these dire-ex-shuns you speak of?
