Co-Discoverer of HIV, Gallo, is working on a human vaccine study
Gallo, who co-discovered HIV causing AIDS, is working on a new HIV vaccine study that is recruiting participants right now, wanting the first shot given by the end of the month. Gallo says it has taken 9 years to get to this point, but he thinks targeting the virus with a protein could help give other vaccines the "one-two punch" it needs to succeed. Quest Diagnostics is again sponsoring the AIDS Walk LA on 10/11.
