    Terry Hodges – Warden Force

    Terry Hodges – Warden Force

Award winning author Terry Hodges is the creator of the popular Warden Force series of short stories, the true adventures of game wardens and the wildlife-destroying outlaws they pursue. Having been a California Fish & Game warden himself for over three decades, Terry writes with the special authority found only among those who have worn a badge on behalf of wildlife. In this episode, he shares some compelling - and often comical - stories of the legendary game warden who would become not only a mentor, but also the inspiration for the book that would launch a surprising new career.

    Moose with Alexej Sirén

    Moose with Alexej Sirén

Historically native to the Northeast, the mighty eastern moose declined throughout the last century due to over hunting and land clearing. With the establishment of hunting laws and forest restoration efforts, the population slowly expanded, but is again under threat from climate change. Warden’s Watch WILD is joined by wildlife biologist and postdoctoral researcher Alexej Sirén discussing he and his colleagues’ efforts to build a regional monitoring system to track moose populations and health in the Northeastern US, as well as their work to develop and improve tools to analyze the data they collect.

    For The Fallen

    For The Fallen

In 1962, US President John Kennedy proclaimed May 15 as National Peace Officers Memorial Day, and the calendar week in which May 15 falls as National Police Week. Established that same year by a joint resolution of Congress, National Police Week pays tribute to law enforcement officers who gave their lives in the line of duty. Please join us for this very special episode as we honor the service and sacrifice of fallen heroes Captain Stan Elrod of Danielsville, Georgia, and Staff Sergeant Jesse Sherrill of Barrington, New Hampshire.
“It is not how these officers died that made them heroes; it is how they lived.” ~ National Law Enforcement Memorial, Washington, DC

A great continuum for those wanting more about our beloved NH COs and beyond! Agree with others that the TGL is not a favorite, but the Wardens Watch episodes are a must listen! Wayne is a natural at interviewing, and keeps the content fresh with a variety of guests.

Lost a little faith

Loved the podcast right up until Wayne introduced John Nores and The Thin Green Line episodes as part of his programming.

I feel like it takes something away from the origins of the what the podcast was supposed to be about.

Episode TGL002 for example talks about COVID and prepping for emergencies which has nothing to do with the Game Warden theme.

I was going to give a 5 star review but now with the introduction of TGL it’s a 3 star review.

The Thin Green Line should be a completely separate podcast in my opinion and not integrated with Wardens Watch.
