#51 How to Prioritise And Avoid the Overwhelm When Everything Is Important

#51 How to Prioritise And Avoid the Overwhelm When Everything Is Important

In the previous episode, I invited you to find and articulate your dream, one that is going to fire you up for the next 5-10 years. I hope you’ve already identified that.
Time is our most valuable asset in this busy and fast-moving world we live in. We know that we can reach our goals faster when we are clear on our priorities. Be strict with what we say yes to, focus on them and ditch the rest of our activities. But the problem is that sometimes we have to prioritise what is already prioritised.
Today’s episode is about how to manage your priorities when everything seems to be important. You’ll learn my top three tips to stay on the top of things and one essential tool you can use to sort out your most important priorities.
You’ll find a useful template in the show notes to help you prioritise your activities as well as a daily, weekly and monthly plan to get things done and manage your time effectively.

#50 It’s Time to Dream Again

#50 It’s Time to Dream Again

Welcome to Season 5 of MWML podcast and to the episode 50. I know that some of you have started the year 2020 with big fat juicy goals, aspiration and desire you want to accomplish this year and the next decade but I also know that for some you, this is an excruciating exercise. You are not sure about your dream or how to articulate it in a way that it becomes your driving force in life.
When we talk about doing meaningful work and creating a meaningful life, you got to know what that looks like for you. One of the reasons we don’t get joy, satisfaction in our work or in our life is that we often play small. We set a small goal we can achieve and as soon as we realise that small goal, we have to find a new goal to keep us going; and sometimes we get stuck and until we find something meaningful enough to hang on to.
What if instead, we have a big dream; a dream so big that it scares us; a dream that will take a while to come to pass? This is what I invite you to do with me at the beginning of this year 2020.
You've heard that the best way to predict the future is to create it. My goal in this episode and this season is to help you find and articulate your dream, something that is going to fire you up for the next 5-10 years.

What would you do if you hit the rock bottom and can’t see any solution on the horizon?
My guest in today’s episode 48 of Meaningful Work Meaningful Life podcast, Mo Haque is a Keynote Speaker and author of Choosing to Stay.
Mo was diagnosed with stage four bowel cancer five years ago. When chemo stopped working, a breakthrough drug was his only hope. But there was a problem. The drug was too expensive, and the NHS wouldn't pay for it. Mo needed to raise money for his cancer treatment. An unexpected event led him to crowdfund over £186,000 to access the potentially life-saving drug and has seen his tumour reduced by over 50%.
He joins me in this last episode of 2019 to share his stories of hope, love, and gratitude.

Great questions. Thought provoking topics

Hearing poeple talk about their "backstories" is fascinating and the questions Francine asks are uncommongly on point. What makes up meaningful work? Is it really elusive or is there a forumual to get it? This is a good one.

Worth your time

Francine is a big-hearted entrepreneur with an important message: you can (and should) do meaningful work and live a meaningful life. Great host with great guests. Looking forward to more!
